The brittle frustration and sorrow that has settled in Padme's bones since the landing platform doesn't show in her face, serene and confident as she finishes her conversation over holo with Senator Organa. Nor is it reflected in her movement -- she spent far too long learning how to move with surety and conviction of power to ever let it go in public, especially when meeting someone new.

It does show openly for one moment in the intensity of her assessing gaze as she moves to meet the Jedi Knight, flanked by Dorme and Typho. Neither have left her side since the landing platform yet. It is a comfort, though one she does not thank them for. They have been together too long to need words for that.

"That's one way of putting it, certainly." A little dry, but she reins that in, stows it away in the same place as everything else, and her smile is sincere and warm. It is not the fault of this young Jedi that Padme is frustrated and angry and sad. She is simply carrying out an assignment. "Please, have a seat."

She moves to a seat herself with ease, not waiting to see if Anderson will follow her example. Her assigned guardian was young, younger than Padme had been expecting. Her own age, she thinks. But Jedi began young, as she herself had. To be deemed worthy of Knighthood meant she was capable, but that was beside the point.

"I'm Captain Typho of her Majesty's security service," Typho says, and she shoots him a slight look sideways of not-entirely-disapproval, knowing what he's going to go on to say. "I'm glad you're here, I'm afraid the situation is far more dangerous than the Senator is willing to admit."

Corde's vacant eyes stared up into the sky she would never see again. Padme's gaze fixes over Anderson's shoulder as Typho speaks for a long moment before she recenters herself in the room, holds up a hand in a gesture that's slightly more imperious than normal. Typho glances at her sideways, but Padme keeps her eyes fixed on Cassandra.

"While it's a pleasure to meet you, Knight Anderson, I hope you understand that I do not see a need for protection, but rather for answers. The intelligence they speak of doesn't fit with what I know of the politics of Naboo. Seven of my people died because of this attempt. I have no intention of hiding behind the Jedi without answers."

Dorme makes that low barely audible sigh that means that she thinks Padme has overstepped, and Typho's grimace is fairly obvious in his reflection. He really has no poker face. But Padme remains watching the Jedi Knight.
